5 Quick Ways To Ease Stress, Depression & Anxiety

Do You Suffer From Fearful Thoughts?? IF YES THEN CLICK HERE

>>  Cure Your Anxiety and Panic Attack INSTANTLY -- Click Here <<

No ceremony with this article, let's go straight into five quick ways that will help you find relief from stress, depression and anxiety.

1. Take regular breaks from the firing line. Working hard without regular breaks is a great way to build up stress and tension. Make sure you have at least one 15-minute break in the morning and one in the afternoon as well as at least 20 minutes for lunch. If possible, eat lunch away from your workstation. Equally, if you have a lot to deal with in your life right now, taking a day, or a weekend elsewhere - longer if you can - to get some breathing space will really help. Even just a day away from the firing line will enable you to get some distance from the problems and help you to gather your thoughts.

2. Regular exercise can help relieve stress, depression and anxiety. Exercise releases endorphins into your system and will give you a natural boost. It will also provide you with a break from brooding and dwelling upon problems and troubles - but only if you perform the right kind of exercises. Avoid: Exercises that allow you to brood (weight lifting, jogging, treadmills) and perform exercises that require your full concentration. Competitive sports such as squash, tennis, badminton and circuit training are all excellent examples. It is important that you do not brood when you exercise because although you will be benefiting physically, you are still stressing yourself mentally and the stress, depression and anxiety will worsen.

3. Stop beating yourself up. Self-deprecation is a huge part of stress, depression and anxiety. Each time you beat up on yourself, you will erode confidence and self-esteem. Never tell yourself you're useless, worthless, stupid, hopeless, boring, ugly, and a loser. Never convince yourself that other people hate you, that others find you difficult to be around and that you're better off being alone. You would never deem it acceptable to say such things to other people and you must deem it equally unacceptable to say them to yourself. These words and phrases are powerful and they will hurt you. Accept you're not perfect and that you make mistakes - just like everybody else does - and cut yourself some slack. From this day, make a pact with me to never indulge self-deprecation ever again. IT IS UNACCEPTABLE.

4. Isolation is another problem experienced by stress, depression and anxiety sufferers. OK, there will be times when you just want your own company. During such times, you can brood over and over again on problems and events and beat yourself up for hours on end. Not good. Instead, use isolation more positively. Occupy your mind by tackling a jigsaw puzzle, a logic problem, a crossword, read a book or perform a hobby such as painting, playing a musical instrument or whatever it is you have an interest in. In this way, isolation will help you to grow instead of causing you further pain.

5. Television, radio and newspapers can all supply you with a daily hit of negativity and help lower your mood. In the main, they concentrate on the negative side of life: crime, corruption, war, scandal and natural disasters and can give you a distorted view of reality. Not to mention the amount of image manipulation they subject you to. Give yourself a break from this negative drip feed and avoid them completely for one week. You may find, like I have, that they have no place in your life after that. Trust me, you won't miss them.

That's five, quick tips for you to help fight stress, depression and anxiety. Please give them a try, they'll all help to boost your mood levels very quickly indeed.

Overcoming anxiety disorder is achievable with just a little bit of hard work.

When I first made the decision of overcoming anxiety disorder I tried a number of different methods.

First method I tried with overcoming anxiety disorder was medication per my doctor's recommendations. I was on Aropax, valium and xanax. Xanax just made me sleepy all the time and Aropax and valium had the opposite effect and actually increased my anxiety.

It was at this point I decided to withdraw from medication, as I was looking for a solution that would help overcoming anxiety disorder certainly not increase my anxiety!

I then resorted to natural methods of finding a way of overcoming anxiety disorder.

I tried relaxation tapes, meditation (meditation is difficult to master at the best of times, and if you intend to try this method of overcoming anxiety disorder I recommend you dedicate at least half an hour everyday to it for at least 6 months), however the fastest results I found for overcoming anxiety disorder came from distraction techniques.

Using distraction techniques I was overcoming anxiety disorder within the first week. There are a variety of distraction techniques you can use when overcoming anxiety disorder. It is a matter of finding what best suits you for your situation.

Speech Anxiety: A Rational Fear Carried Too Far

Do You Suffer From Fearful Thoughts?? IF YES THEN CLICK HERE

>>  Cure Your Anxiety and Panic Attack INSTANTLY -- Click Here <<

People, on average, detest the idea of giving a speech. If you have ever been forced to take a course in public speaking at the high school or college level you have probably witnessed what strong forms of speech anxiety can produce. Shakiness, stuttering, visible sweating, hyperventilation and even fainting are possible among those with a great deal of anxiety who are forced to get behind the podium.

A series of studies confirms the fact that public speaking is feared more than death. Think about that for a moment and just how ludicrous it is. More people are afraid of delivering a simple presentation than they are of life's end. Clearly, that is irrational. No logical person would trade their life away in order to avoid ten minutes in front of co-workers discussing recent company trends.

So, we know that speech anxiety is common. We know that it can lead to all sorts of discomfort and nastiness for people forced to confront it. We also know that many people are so afraid of speaking that they consider it a fate worse than death. All of that points to one conclusion: speech anxiety is a very powerful force.

The fear of public speaking, although more intensely felt than some other fears, still holds a lot in common with other sources of nervousness. Assuming a fear is misplaced to at least some extent, the original source of the worry tends to stem from some level of personal insecurity and/or a lack of information. Ignorance is not bliss. Ignorance creates fear, and that fear is intensified even more when we know we are ignorant. That is the case with public speaking.

We do not feel comfortable giving a speech and we know it. We feel unprepared, disorganized and unsure of our ability to make a point without humiliating ourselves in front of others. We feel inadequate and we know it long before we open our mouths to give an introduction. Had we found the information necessary to approach speech construction and delivery and learned it, we would feel better about the situation.

If everyone knew some simple ways to come up with a great presentation and some simple tricks regarding delivery, they could approach public speaking with a greater level of assuredness. If they knew even more about public speaking--perhaps even some details and perspective on speech anxiety--their fear would be even further mitigated.

There are few people in the world who can hop up in front of others and being speaking without hesitation or fear. They are the exceptions. Most of us, all things being otherwise equal, would choose to avoid giving a public presentation. That preference may be a reflection of our personality, but it is also a reflection of our good sense.

You see, we do not want to give a speech because we know we are inadequately prepared to do a good job. Our fears may be inappropriately large, but they are rooted in some honest self-assessment. We fear what we do not know. We fear that even more when we know just how much we do not know!

If you were called upon to deliver a public speech today, how would you react? If you said you would be glad to do so and were ready to go that means one of two things: either you have a great deal of confidence based on having developed good public speaking skills or you are one of those few people who have no qualms about presenting (even if they don't have the talent or technique to do it well). In other words, those who have no fear of public speaking are either skilled or ignorant without realizing it.

The fear of public speaking is rational. Many people, however, carry that rational fear to an irrational extreme.

How can we combat this? The answer is simple: information. If once is willing to seek out information and guidance regarding the development of public speaking, anxiety can be calmed. Information also leads to the development of skills, which will further abate any speech anxiety. There is even available information that deals directly with the issue of speech anxiety, making it that much easier to conquer. Fear breeds in ignorance, and eradicating that ignorance with a solid guide to public speaking is a sensible solution to the problem.

Natural Remedies For Anxiety And Panic Attacks

Do You Suffer From Fearful Thoughts?? IF YES THEN CLICK HERE

>>  Cure Your Anxiety and Panic Attack INSTANTLY -- Click Here <<

Natural home remedies are increasingly popular for treating a wide range of conditions. You shall read about new ways to promote wellness - ways that are close to nature.

A lot of people combine conventional medicine with alternative medical measures in finding cures to treating anxieties. This gives a method of using modern medical knowledge and this combination is better known as complementary therapies. A lot of practitioners of the conventional and complementary areas agree to the benefits that can be derived from this fusion.

Here we shall discuss one alternative technique designed specifically to cure anxiety and panic attacks.

Homeopathy

Homeopathy is a form of medicine that deals with tiny quantities of herbs, minerals, and other substances. Through this healing method, ailments are treated by activating the body's natural defenses, quite often with just one dose.

The wonderful thing is that it is reported to have zero side effects. According to the National Center for Homeopathy, around 40% of the populace in France and 30% of the people in England use homeopathy as a means of curing their illnesses.

Moreover, the cost of homeopathy remedies is much smaller compared to conventional medicines. Homeopathy involves restoring balance to the body's immune system or natural defenses. In principle, this branch of alternative medicine is based on the belief of eighteenth century German physician and founder of homeopathy, Samuel Hahnemann.

He formulated the principle known as the "Law of Similars," where he concluded that effective medicine must generate symptoms in healthy individuals that are identical to the diseases that will be cured. This means that when a person develops an illness out of a certain substance, it will take a similar substance taken in diminutive proportion to treat the sickness.

In the field of homeopathy, it is likely that two persons with different ailments may be given the same remedy. Conversely, two persons with the same ailment may be given different remedies. This can be likened to two cars of the same model. One owner may say the car is good because it's durable, while another may say it isn't because it frequently breaks down.

The problem may lie in the way the cars have been assembled or the way the two cars are used in different manners. A homeopath heals a person based on both emotional and physical symptoms. That is why two persons with the same illness but different symptoms are sometimes given different remedies.

A homeopath heals the person as a whole, not just the ailment. This is why it takes a longer time for a homeopath to see each patient again.

Here are some do's and don'ts to remember that are required to maintain and enhance the efficacy of the remedy.

1. As with most medicines, keep homeopathic medicine in a cool dark place.

2. Don't expose the remedy to strong scents or odors because its efficacy might diminish.

3. Avoid using facial cosmetics, lip balms, mint-flavored toothpaste and mouthwashes, and products with camphor.

4. Avoid drinking coffee because its essential oils might decrease the effectiveness of the remedy.

To treat anxiety, a dose of Gelsemium 6X every 15 to 20 minutes may help, but only up to a maximum of 4 doses. (Homeopathic cures classified as X have been diluted 1 to 10.) For worse cases of panic attacks, try a dose of 30C Aconite. (Homeopathic cures classified as C have been diluted 1 to 100.) Stop dosage when you begin to feel calmer.

OVERCOMING ANXIETY WITH HYPNOSIS

Do You Suffer From Fearful Thoughts?? IF YES THEN CLICK HERE

>>  Cure Your Anxiety and Panic Attack INSTANTLY -- Click Here <<

Are you tired of feeling anxious in life? Do things bother you or make you feel nervous and you want to change? If you struggle with panic and anxiety attacks, you are certainly not alone. Typically, anxiety creates what is called a "fight or flight" response, which means the body releases hormones to help you deal with or escape the situation. Most often, you would experience things like rapid heartbeat, fast breathing, tense muscles, and a sick feeling in the stomach. What most people do not realize is that this fight or flight response within the body is something we can activate.

For example, if you had recently accepted a new job and you know Monday morning the day you start is just around the corner, you might begin to experience some or all of the symptoms associated with anxiety. Your stomach may begin to knot up, your head hurts, you breathe fast, and you feel simply miserable. Whether your anxiety is caused by a new or old situation, it can be devastating. In fact, anxiety for many people becomes so intense that managing a relationship, raising children, owning a home, or maintaining a job is a serious challenge.

Just as anxiety can control aspects of your personal life, it can also cause problems in how well you perform in your job. Perhaps you have a position of public speaking or performance. While you love your job and do well, you find periods when your face becomes flushed, the palm of your hands sweat, and you can feel your entire body tensing up. This too is anxiety, which is difficult to manage. Although you do well in your job, hypnosis can teach you how to do great in your job. In other words, for people struggling with anxiety, they are being held back from reaching full potential.

The good news is that hypnosis can help in a number of ways. Remember, anxiety comes in many different shapes. For instance, panic disorders are so severe that a person might feel as if he or she is having a heart attack and dying. Anxiety attacks are not quite as severe but they too create intense worry and concern. With hypnosis, the subconscious mind is retrained how to handle situations that might create the sense of anxiety. You will learn to be more confident, learn how to relax better, and gain a much better handle on challenging situations.

One type of anxiety that is common is known as social anxiety. With this, you might have an overwhelming fear of being in public or social situations. If you deal with this type of nervousness, you would find yourself turning down opportunities for parties or other social gatherings. Then in situations when you are around people, you feel embarrassed, at a loss for words when approached. Obviously, this is no way to live. Typically, nervousness such as this is debilitating but again, hypnosis can give you back control through self-confidence and understanding.

Other forms of anxiety where hypnosis can make a significant difference include Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and special phobias. For PTSD, you might have experienced something traumatic in your life whereby you now have nightmares or flashbacks. For example, survivors of 09/11, people who have lost a loved one in a car accident, or individuals who served in war are all prime examples of PTSD. For special phobias, this could include anything from a fear of animals to fear of flying to fear of spiders. Regardless, in both cases, you have lost control over your life but hypnosis is an excellent tool for giving you back control.

The type of hypnosis used and the longevity of treatment depend on the individual and the area of concern. However, by working with a qualified hypnotist or hypnotherapist, you will make improvement and be amazed at how much more enjoyable life can be. Typically, three to five hypnosis sessions will be enough for you to see a noticeable difference. Soon, you will not be nearly as anxious as you once were and eventually, not anxious at all. Just imagine the freedom to live again without fear, nervousness, or anxiety - hypnosis will give you all this and more.

Anxiety Treatment - The Natural Remedy for Anxiety Relief

Do You Suffer From Fearful Thoughts?? IF YES THEN CLICK HERE

>>  Cure Your Anxiety and Panic Attack INSTANTLY -- Click Here <<

L-Theanine, naturally occurring in green tea, proves effective in dealing with anxiety symptoms and providing anxiety relief

Anxiety is a state of intense fear, uncertainty, uneasiness, or apprehension due to anticipation of an imagined or real threatening future event. Anxiety can be both physically and psychologically devastating to the Anxiety sufferer's life. Anxiety is often sub-categorized according to the focus of the perceived threat. There is social anxiety, separation anxiety, dating anxiety, performance anxiety, math anxiety, etc. Stress and anxiety often go hand in hand and can result in anxiety depression as the individual feels powerless to receive any anxiety help.

There are a variety of anti-anxiety treatments to consider in overcoming anxiety. For some, anxiety medications prove to be a source of anxiety relief. Other's prefer not to use any of the anti-anxiety drugs and opt for more natural cures for anxiety management. These may include herbs for anxiety, acupuncture anxiety treatments, anxiety vitamins, aromatherapy for anxiety relief, even hypnosis has has proved beneficial overcoming anxiety.

This article discusses the perhaps little known amino acid L-Theanine as a natural remedy for anxiety relief.

L-Theanine is a unique free form amino acid found only in the tea plant and in the mushrooms Xerocomus badius and certain species of genus Camellia, C. japonica and C. sasanqua. Often drinkers of green tea report a feeling of calmness they feel after ingesting a cup or two even though green tea has roughly half the caffeine of coffee. This is due to the high L-Theanine content.

In addition to reducing anxiety symptoms, studies have shown L-Theanine may be effective in promoting concentration, supporting the immune system, improving learning performance, lowering blood pressure, increasing formation of the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA, and increasing brain dopamine levels among other positive benefits with no known downside.

Studies in cooperation with Taiyo Kagaku Co., The University of Shizuoka, and The Family Planning Institute of Japan have shown that women taking 200 mg L-Theanine daily have lower incidence of PMS symptoms. These symptoms include physical, mental, and social symptoms. Overall, a significant alleviation of PMS symptoms by L-Theanine was observed.

While still under investigation, L-Theanine appears to have a role in the formation of the inhibitory neurotransmitter Gamma Amino Butyric Acid (GABA). GABA blocks release of the neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin, playing a key role in the relaxation effect.

Everyone knows the effects stress and anxiety can have on an individual's physical state of well-being. Fascinating neurochemistry research has revealed that given a shot of GABA essentially turned back the clocks in the brains of older monkeys, whose brain function briefly operated at levels normally seen in monkeys less than half their age.

GABA, or gamma-amino butyric acid, is a neurotransmitter chemical that is essential for optimizing how brain cells transmit messages to each other and acts to put a damper on unwanted brain signaling activity. Although GABA's age-related decline has not been documented in humans, a host of studies in mammals, including other primates, suggests that a similar process is at work in people.

Monkeys ages 26 and 32 -- considered old age for monkeys -- that got GABA directly delivered to their neurons responded to visual patterns, such as flashing vertical and horizontal lines, in much the same way as monkeys aged 7 to 9 years old did.

Without GABA delivery, the monkeys' aged brains had more difficulty firing neurons that specifically gauge various aspects of depth perception, motion and color. Instead, older monkeys have more random firings that make it difficult to observe visual nuances. In younger monkeys, GABA had no effect since their brains already had optimal GABA functioning.

L-Theanine is considered to be safe based on its historical use as a component of tea and on favorable toxicology studies. Tea is the most consumed beverage worldwide after water, and has been consumed for thousands of years by billions of people. It is estimated that a heavy tea drinker (6-8 cups daily) will consume between 200 to 400 mg of L-Theanine daily.

While dosage for depression and anxiety disorder remain individual, it is recommended to take 100 to 200 mg 1 to 3 times daily for anxiety relief. Based on the results of clinical studies, it has been established that L-Theanine is effective in single dosages in the range of 50-200 mg. It is suggested that subjects with higher levels of anxiety take a dose at the higher end of the effective range (100 - 200 mg) for overcoming anxiety.

The GED Test: How to Manage Test Anxiety

Do You Suffer From Fearful Thoughts?? IF YES THEN CLICK HERE

>>  Cure Your Anxiety and Panic Attack INSTANTLY -- Click Here <<

If the number one fear is public speaking, then the number two fear is probably test taking. GED students are no different than most students and adult learners who experience anxiety or tension at test time. And they have just as much -- if not more -- at stake, since passing the GED test is so critical to educational and career opportunities.

Test anxiety is normal, and a healthy amount of test stress can help test candidates and even improve their score. Stress launches adrenaline, a brain chemical that can make a test candidate more alert. But too much test stress inhibits clear thought, creates fatigue and reduces performance. Months of studying are ineffective if you freeze or fall apart at the GED test site. So what's the right balance between a healthy and productive amount of test stress and the kind of anxiety that overcomes test candidates?

Test Anxiety Strategies

1. Preparation: Consider the two-part test required for a drivers license. Most drivers are able to quickly memorize the rules of the road a day or two before the 20-minute test, and perform without problem once the testing officer is in the passenger seat. But what would happen to a driving candidate who never looked at the driver's manual, or had never been on the road? Not only would this want-to-be motorist fail to perform, there'd be high anxiety in the driver's seat.

Preparing for the GED is the best way to reduce test anxiety and perform well. A good preparation program should include study and GED practice tests in all areas of the 7.5 hour test battery, along with marathon study sessions reflective of the actual test. A good study program increases and improves knowledge. You can't cram for the GED test like a driving test; you need to thoroughly learn knowledge, and know how to use it.

Practice tests teach test candidates how to use knowledge, provide testing experience and are excellent indicators for measuring skill strengths and weaknesses. Official GED practice tests also provide the best way to get familiar with the test structure, question and answer layout, test timing and test expectations. Then, at test time, the test will be a known factor instead of an unknown factor. Test familiarity, along with knowledge ownership, helps candidates have confidence in their abilities and demonstrate their skills. These are prime strategies in reducing fear, overcoming test anxiety, and ensuring a solid test performance.

2. Time Management: Many GED students express concerns about the timing of the test. Some may be slow test takers; some don't have a feel for how to pace themselves through the test. And others get easily distracted by test problems -- they concentrate on a few problems and score well but find they're soon out of time and can't complete the whole test. Or, test candidates may rush through the test because of time concerns -- while they finish test sections early they later learn their answers were incorrect. But there's no score reward for finishing first, or finishing fast.

Timing varies for each test, and the full battery includes science, social studies, reading and writing and the two-part math test. But on average, allow yourself about 1.25 minutes for each question during study sessions. Practice test-taking and problem-solving using this average to develop or improve time management skills. This strategy will serve to reduce test anxiety about timing, and help candidates learn the art of pacing.

3. Mind & Body Prep: While test candidates ensure that their abilities and time management skills are sharp, they'll also want to explore mental and physical ways to reduce test stress and incorporate stress reducers into their GED study program. Good nutrition, exercise and healthy rest patterns are important, since the GED test is a scholarly thinking marathon. And knowing how to relax at test time is equally important; learn and practice relaxation techniques during long study sessions.

4. Know the Cues: Test anxiety doesn't just happen. It happens on cue. And for many GED test candidates, anxiety is a habit. Just like the anxiety response is learned, it can be unlearned or shifted to a level where anxiety works for the test, instead of against it. Here are some typical test stress cues and strategies to manage them:

-- Feeling overwhelmed? Take it step by step. Read directions carefully. Skip questions which seem overwhelming and move through another part first. Then return.

-- Nervous and jittery? Test burnout halfway through? Avoid processed foods, fast foods, along with snacks and beverages with high-sugar content. Avoid caffeine.

-- Feeling tense? Stiff neck? Eye strain? Change positions. Stretch. Breathe deeply. Rest your eyes. Clear your mind. Start afresh.

-- Blank? Frozen? Fearful? Relax. Skip the question and go on. You're in control. You're ready ... you're doing your best. Take the test at your own pace, and the pacing you've learned and practiced will come back to you, along with the knowledge in your vault.

-- Test fatigue? Eat a healthy snack. Use relaxation techniques. Pause. Clear your mind. Give yourself positive reinforcement. And visualize your goal.

-- Just a little anxious? Expect it. Surrender to it. Even welcome it. Know that some anxiety can help you perform, provide energy, and increase thinking clarity. Acknowledge test stress as a further reminder of the importance of your goal. Make it work for you.

Factors That Cause Public Speaking Anxiety

Do You Suffer From Fearful Thoughts?? IF YES THEN CLICK HERE

>>  Cure Your Anxiety and Panic Attack INSTANTLY -- Click Here <<

In a survey done by Dr. Laurie Rozakis, author of Idiots Guide to Public Speaking, it was found that many people are scared to speak before a group. It is the number one fear among Americans, "--and the number 6 is fear of death," according to Dr. Rozakis.

Even the most experienced speaker gets anxious when speaking in public. However, this fear can be controlled so that you can put your fear to your advantage. This topic teaches us why people are nervous when speaking in front of a crowd and how you can conquer your fear.

FEAR OF THE AUDIENCE

People are afraid of rejection by their audience. Thus, many are terrified of speaking in public for fear of being criticized by the crowd for how they look or how they deliver their speech. On the contrary, audiences are very understanding about the speaker's problem with stage fright. You become more nervous when your fear of the audience increases.

Below are some strategies that can help you overcome your fear of the audience.

> Choose a topic that you like and you are familiar with. The more comfortable you are about your chosen topic, the more confident you are in facing your audience.

> Concentrate on your topic. Focus on your topic and not on yourself. When you start to think of your subject matter and not yourself, your fear of speaking will likely decrease.

> Say to yourself: "I am the BOSS." Trust in your capability of delivering your speech. Showing that you are in charge decreases your fear and increases your confidence in facing the situation.

> Don't think of your audience as a threat. Bridge the gap between your audience and yourself. Analyze carefully to establish rapport. You should consider age, gender and their level of expertise. Remember to analyze your audience.

FEAR OF FAILURE

There are two ways to win over your fear of failure.

> Picture yourself succeeding. If you think that you will stutter in front of many people, chances are you will stutter. But if you visualize yourself delivering your speech well, then, you will.

> Face your fear. You cannot overcome your fear unless you show it and admit that you are afraid of it.

FEAR THAT YOUR SPEECH IS A BAD SPEECH

> Write well. Take time to write your speech. Review it and rewrite if necessary. If you are confident with your speech, the less terrified you will be about speaking in public.

> Practice and ask for suggestions on how you can improve your speech. Ask a friend of relative to act as your audience. Once you have delivered your topic, ask for their feedback. Don't be afraid to hear about what they will say. Their feedback can give you insight on what is good or bad in your speech.

Anxiety disorders are the most common mental health problem, and include panic disorders, agoraphobia, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Anxiety disorders develop due to an interplay between enviromnental and genetic factors. Cognitive behavior therapy is useful for this disorder, as well as prescription anxiolytic drugs.

However, many patients prefer a natural approach or dislike the side effects of prescription drugs, and there are many non-prescription supplements available to help anxiety. Before starting natural supplements for an anxiety problem, be sure to mention your concerns and get a general checkup from your doctor. Symptoms resembling anxiety and anxiety attacks can be caused by physical diseases such as hormone imbalance, hyperthyroidism or cardiac arrhythmias.

However, if you are sure your problem is an anxiety disorder, the following supplements may be of help, and often have fewer side effects than commercial pharmaceutical products.

Chamomile tea is one of the best-known natural remedies for anxiety. Its affects the digestive tract and the nervous system, thus it is helpful for people who suffer from gastro-intestinal symptoms such as cramps along with mental anxiety. It is recommended that patients drink fresh tea made with chamomile leaves, 1/2 to 1 teaspoon per cup of water, several times a day. It is also available in tinctures which can be added to water. Chamomile capsules are convenient to take along to work, and don't take as long to brew as the tea. The usual dose is 250 to 500 mg 3 to 4 times daily.

Damiana (Turnera diffusa) is a nerve tonic which also has a restorative (adaptogenic) property. It has a calming effect in cases of mild depression and anxiety, and is also reputed to be an aphrodisiac. Damiana contains flavonoids that act on benzodiazepine and GABA receptors. It exhibits anxiolytic activity, muscle relaxation and sedation. Use 2-4 g of dried leaves infused in a cup of boiling water; 2-3 cups are taken daily. Alternatively, 2-4 ml of a liquid extract or 3-4 grams of powdered leaf in tablets or capsules taken twice daily can be substituted if desired.

Damiana has demonstrated mild hypoglycemic effects in animal studies. Patients with diabetes and hypoglycemia should use this plant with caution, and monitor blood sugar levels closely. Damiana has a traditional use as an abortive and is contraindicated during pregnancy.

Kava Kava (Piper methysticum) has a very quick calming effect on the nervous system and causes an uplifting, euphoric feeling. It is also a muscle relaxant and mild sedative. It is helps anxiety, tension, stress, irritability and insomnia. Kava stops the mind from racing, often a symptom of generalized anxiety disorder. The usual dose is 750 mg twice daily. Do not exceed 4 capsules per day.

Kava Kava is a traditional Polynesian remedy, and while it has been used safely by Polynesians for centuries, now that it has become popular worldwide it has been linked to some cases of liver failure in people of other ethnic groups who have difficulty metabolizing it. Ask a health care professional before use if you have a history of liver problems, frequently use alcoholic beverages, or are taking any medication. Stop and see a doctor if you develop symptoms that may signal liver problems (e.g., unexplained fatigue, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, fever, vomiting, dark urine, pale stools, yellow eyes or skin).

Do not use kava kava if less than 18 years of age, or if pregnant/breastfeeding. Do not combine with alcoholic beverages, or prescription anxiolytics or antidepressants . Excessive use, or use with products that cause drowsiness, may impair your ability to operate a vehicle or heavy equipment. Do not take Kava Kava on a daily basis for more than four weeks without consulting a health care provider. Take frequent breaks from use.

Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata) is most often used for insomnia, but it can also be taken in the daytime to reduce the effects of stress and anxiety. This herb is often included in European formulas for heart palpitations, which often have anxiety as a component. It is taken in capsule form, 500 mg daily, or 20-30 drops of tincture, or as a fresh tea. Passionflower, though it helps bring on natural sleep, does not have the sedative effects of many prescription sleeping pills.

Pulsatilla is a homeopathic remedy said to be most suitable for shy, hypersensitive people who tend to feel warm rather than cold. Homeopathic practitioners recommend a 30C potency 2-4 times daily for relief of acute symptoms, and 30C or 6C 1-2 times daily for chronic use. Homeopathic remedies use miniscule concentrations of compounds to "nudge" the body into healing itself. They either help or they do not; there are no toxic side effects.

Scullcup (Scutellaria lateriflora) is a relaxing and gentle sedative for the central nervous system. It is very good for nervous tension and for nervous exhaustion plus neurological and neuromotor problems. The dose is 10-20 drops of fresh plant tincture or 1-2 dropperfuls of dried plant tincture. Skullcap can also be sleep inducing, but it is rarely habituating.

St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) is commonly used for depression, but helps anxiety as well. Use a 300 mg extract 3 times daily. Quality varies widely between brands; it is best to buy a product standardized to contain 3-5% hyperforin and 0.3% hypericin. It works by increasing the level of neurotransmitters in the central nervous system such as serotonin and dopamine. Do not use this product if also taking prescription antidepressants.

Valerian (Valeriana officinalis) has been used since Greek and Roman times to promote sleep and relaxation. It can treat insomnia, anxiety, and stress related gastrointestinal upset. According to one theory, valerian affects the brain in a way similar to valium; while another theory holds that valerian contains GABA, a neurotransmitter which has a calming affect on the brain, or else influences the brain's natural production of GABA. Also, some reasearchers believe that valerian affects serotonin levels in a manner similar to anitdepressant drugs such as Prozac.

If using valerian to treat insomnia, take the herb 30 to 60 minutes before going to bed. It can be taken 2-4 times daily to help stress and anxiety. The recommended dose of tincture is 30-60 drops, or a capsule or tablet of 300-500 mg.

Some people feel groggy after taking valerian; if this occurs, lower the dose. Avoid hazardous activities while using valerian, and do not combine it with other sedatives, antidepressants or alcohol. Do not take valerian for more than 3 weeks, as it can be habituating.

Verbena (Verbena officinalis) is a relaxing nervous system tonic indicated for a wide range of nervous disorders including nervous exhaustion and stress. As a tincture, use 2-4 mls up to 4 times daily. Avoid use during pregnancy as this herb is a uterine stimulant.

Withania (Withania somnifera) is an ayurvedic herb sold under the name Ashwaghanda. It is a very good tonic herb that is especially helpful for debility and nervous exhaustion due to stress. It has steriodal, adaptogenic, sedative and anti-inflammatory properties. It is also useful for panic attacks and phobic disorders such as agoraphobia. Use 1 tsp powder 3 times daily.

Anxiety and Depression - Natural Antidepressants for Mood Boosting

Do You Suffer From Fearful Thoughts?? IF YES THEN CLICK HERE

>>  Cure Your Anxiety and Panic Attack INSTANTLY -- Click Here <<

Millions of people, especially in the United States, are currently suffering the symptoms of depression, and have even gone as far as taking prescription antidepressants that may have harmful side effects and dampen the quality of their life in other ways in the hopes it will just go away.

The fact is, many prescription antidepressant drugs do have undesirable side effects that really can affect other areas of your life, but they are looked at by many as "the lesser of two evils". It's better to not be depressed and anxious, even if you do suffer side effects such as headache, nausea, and decreased sexual function, right?

Wrong! There is a better way to manage stress, anxiety and depression - naturally and without man-made drugs or narcotics. This natural antidepressant remedy actually contains several pure botanicals, natural compounds and herbs that work in unison to balance mood, elevate our natural "antidepressant" chemicals in the brain, maintain even blood sugar levels (which believe it or not, has actually produced weight loss and belly fat loss in many who have taken it), and promote an overall sense of well being and peace.

This product is an excellent remedy for calming anxiety and depression. There are also lifestyle tips that will help you fight depression, anxiety and stress. Number one on that list is - you guessed it - moderate exercise. Now I don't mean you have to do aerobics until you drop, but a nice, steady flow of cardiovascular exercise like walking, jogging, biking, or another form of low impact exercise is an excellent way to manage these symptoms, while also promoting a healthy blood pressure level, a healthy heart, and bodily strength and endurance.

Yoga, forms of slow dance, tai chi, and other meditation-type exercise is also an excellent way to manage stress, anxiety and depression. These types of meditative exercises promote healthy bodily functions, a healthy state of mind, and mental focus, which are key factors in supporting a healthy sense of well being and peace.

If you have a desk job, make it a point to get up and walk around once every hour. Inactivity is one of the biggest perpetuators of depression and anxiety. The human body was designed to be in frequent motion, not to sit all day. So go, get a drink of water, walk some stairs, or take a little walk outside whenever you get the opportunity. You'll be amazed by what physical activity will do for your mental state.

Lastly, take some time for yourself. Every night, take a little time out of your schedule for yourself. Whether it is reading a book, writing in a diary or journal, taking a walk outside, or doing anything else you enjoy, just do it. Getting a little dose of genuine joy or peace in your day is key to being a happy and well-balanced person.

With these few lifestyle guidelines in mind, don't let depression and anxiety destroy your quality of life. Everyone deserves to live a happy, fulfilled life without the need for prescription anti-anxiety and antidepressant drugs. If you need help, but do not want the common side effects of depression medication, I highly encourage you to take a look at this effective new product.

Misdiagnosing Narcissism - Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

Do You Suffer From Fearful Thoughts?? IF YES THEN CLICK HERE

>>  Cure Your Anxiety and Panic Attack INSTANTLY -- Click Here <<

Anxiety Disorders - and especially Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) - are often misdiagnosed as Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD).

(The use of gender pronouns in this article reflects the clinical facts: most narcissists are men.)

Anxiety Disorders - and especially Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) - are often misdiagnosed as Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD).

Anxiety is uncontrollable and excessive apprehension. Anxiety disorders usually come replete with obsessive thoughts, compulsive and ritualistic acts, restlessness, fatigue, irritability, difficulty concentrating, and somatic manifestations (such as an increased heart rate, sweating, or, in Panic Attacks, chest pains).

By definition, narcissists are anxious for social approval or attention ("narcissistic supply"). The narcissist cannot control this need and the attendant anxiety because he requires external feedback to regulate his labile sense of self-worth. This dependence makes most narcissists irritable. They fly into rages and have a very low threshold of frustration.

Like patients who suffer from Panic Attacks and Social Phobia (another anxiety disorder), narcissists are terrified of being embarrassed or criticized in public. Consequently, most narcissists fail to function well in various settings (social, occupational, romantic, etc.).

Many narcissists develop obsessions and compulsions. Like sufferers of GAD, narcissists are perfectionists and preoccupied with the quality of their performance and the level of their competence. As the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM-IV-TR, p. 473) puts it, GAD patients (especially children):

"... (A)re typically overzealous in seeking approval and require excessive reassurance about their performance and their other worries."

This could apply equally well to narcissists. Both classes of patients are paralyzed by the fear of being judged as imperfect or lacking. Narcissists as well as patients with anxiety disorders constantly fail to measure up to an inner, harsh, and sadistic critic and a grandiose, inflated self-image.

The narcissistic solution is to avoid comparison and competition altogether and to demand special treatment. The narcissist's sense of entitlement is incommensurate with the narcissist's true accomplishments. He withdraws from the rat race because he does not deem his opponents, colleagues, or peers worthy of his efforts.

As opposed to narcissists, patients with Anxiety Disorders are invested in their work and their profession. To be exact, they are over-invested. Their preoccupation with perfection is counter-productive and, ironically, renders them underachievers.

It is easy to mistake the presenting symptoms of certain anxiety disorders with pathological narcissism. Both types of patients are worried about social approbation and seek it actively. Both present a haughty or impervious facade to the world. Both are dysfunctional and weighed down by a history of personal failure on the job and in the family. But the narcissist is ego-dystonic: he is proud and happy of who he is. The anxious patient is distressed and is looking for help and a way out of his or her predicament. Hence the differential diagnosis.

5 Tips To Dealing With A Severe Anxiety Disorder

Do You Suffer From Fearful Thoughts?? IF YES THEN CLICK HERE

>>  Cure Your Anxiety and Panic Attack INSTANTLY -- Click Here <<

Anxiety is a part of life for everyone. It is quite normal to feel anxious over certain circumstances however it becomes a problem when a person is anxious over seemingly small, trivial or non existent factors. This is known as an Anxiety Disorder and is a recognized mental illness. Recognized or not, it is still sometimes misdiagnosed as paranoia, depression or many other illnesses but they are all quite different. it is true that virtually any Anxiety Disorder can include these as symptoms but the underlying problem is a very specific one that should not be overlooked by patient or by doctor. Patients who may be suffering are very unlikely to come forward themselves and seek help because the nature of the problem means they can not approach people with this kind of problem. There is help for sufferers of even the most sever Anxiety Disorder though.

1- Psychological treatment should be sought from a registered psychiatrist. Finding a professional who has a lot of experience with patients who suffer from severe Anxiety Disorder is the best option. A Psychiatrist will understand the problem perfectly and will help the patient work through their anxiety. Remember, a patient suffering from a severe Anxiety Disorder is unlikely to want to visit a doctor of any sort, but a Psychiatrist with the appropriate experience will know how to overcome this problem.

2- Medication can be prescribed that will help patients who suffer from severe Anxiety Disorder. Most trials have been conducted on monotherapy treatment, which means the use of one drug but often it is necessary to combine more than one drug to get the best effects. Antidepressants are administered although it is very much a case of trial and error as to exactly which one will prove the most effective.

3- Benzodiazepines are another regularly used medication that is proven to help some sufferers of severe Anxiety Disorder but again there isn't any single one that is proven to work while others don't.

4- Polypharmacy is the combination of several drugs and has proven to be much more effective for people who suffer from severe Anxiety Disorder. By combining Antidepressants with benzodiazepines and possibly a mild stimulant the patient will find it much easier to face problems that would have normally led to heightened levels of anxiety.

5- Combing psychiatric assistance with prescribed medication is by far the best solution. Often the drugs only mask the symptoms and the patient can grow immune to their effects so by using a psychiatric program as well the patient will really benefit.

When Anxiety Comes

Do You Suffer From Fearful Thoughts?? IF YES THEN CLICK HERE

>>  Cure Your Anxiety and Panic Attack INSTANTLY -- Click Here <<

Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up.
In the multitude of my anxieties within me,
Your comforts delight my soul.
(Psalm 94.18-19)

ANXIETY IS A TOXIN. It is a poison that comes to paralyze you by saturating your thoughts and emotions. It does not lead you into the purpose of God, but keeps you from fulfilling the wonderful destiny He has for you.

Anxiety is a toxin--but God has an antidote. The writer of Psalm 94 called on this when he found himself in a difficult and oppressive situation. When he felt his foot slipping beneath him, he cried out to the Lord and pressed into His mercy.

HESED is the Hebrew word for mercy here. Some translations render it as love. It is the counterpart to the Greek word AGAPE, the God-kind of love we find in the New Testament. Hesed is a covenant word that speaks of the love and mercy by which God has committed Himself to us. It is the assurance of Gods faithfulness toward us, for God keeps His promises. When the circumstances of our life start to slip and slide, the covenant love and mercy of God comes to stabilize us, to strengthen us and keep us from falling.

Anxiety tries to overwhelm us with a multitude of worrisome thoughts and fill us with doubts. Someone has defined worry, very accurately, I think, as meditating on the lies of the devil. The enemy comes and whispers things into our ears to consume our thoughts and get us into fear. If we let ourselves meditate on them, we give life to them.

My wife calls these whispers the what if voices: What if our car breaks down? What if we cant pay for it? What if we get sick? What if something happens to our children? We used to pay quite a bit of attention to these what if voices-and it held us back from trusting God more and knowing Him better.

The devil has a lot of what ifs, but why should we even listen to them? For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1.7). The devil brings us a multitude of anxious thoughts, but God brings us His comforts: power, love and a sound mind.

Power is the miracle-working DUNAMIS of God. Love is the faithful AGAPE of God. A sound mind is stable and disciplined, giving no place to worry and doubt. In short, the spirit of power, love and sound mind is the Holy Spirit.

Since we have the Spirit of power, love and sound mind at work in us, my wife and I have developed a different approach to the what if voices of the enemy? Instead of worrying and becoming paralyzed with fear, or eaten up with anxiety, we begin to speak some different what ifs. What if God brings us provision? What if God fixes this broken thing or replaces it? What if God heals us? What if God watches over our children? What if God brings us out of debt? What if God blesses us? In other words, we counter fear with faith, curse with blessing, and anxiety with joyful anticipation.

The devil tries to throw a lot of what ifs at us, but he cannot bring any of them to pass-unless we start to believe them. On the other hand, God has many wonderful promises for us, and if we trust Him, He will bring them all to pass. God is not moved by our worries or fears, but He is moved by our faith in His Word. So instead of repeating any of the things the devil whispers in our ears, why not start repeating the Word of God. The lies of the enemy cannot stand up to the truth of the Word.

The psalm writer said, In the multitudes of my anxieties within me, your comforts delight my soul. That is, instead of turning himself over to his anxious thoughts, though they were overwhelming, he turned himself over to the Lord. Instead of meditating on worry, he meditated on the Word. He pressed into his covenant with God. In this way, he experienced the comfort of divine love and faithfulness, instead of the chaos of fear and anxiety.

This strategy calls for two definite, qualitative, and decisive actions:

First, let go of the anxieties. They may come into your head, but do not give them a place in your heart. When the devil comes and whispers fear into your ear, do not give it life by speaking it with your mouth. Give it no quarter.

Second, embrace the comforts of the LordHis Spirit, His Word, His power, His love and the soundness of His own mind. Then open your mouth and, instead of repeating the fears, start speaking the promises.

In the margin of my Bible, at Psalm 94.19, I have expressed it as an equation (not very grammatical, but it works): Let go of the anxieties + Embrace the comforts of the Lord = Delights my soul.
Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up.
In the multitude of my anxieties within me,
Your comforts delight my soul.

Treat Your Anxiety Disorder Effectively

Do You Suffer From Fearful Thoughts?? IF YES THEN CLICK HERE

>>  Cure Your Anxiety and Panic Attack INSTANTLY -- Click Here <<

If you find symptoms of anxiety disorder in any of your near and dear ones then the best way is to visit your physician as soon as possible. Only your Physician can detect that whether these symptoms are due to anxiety or any other medical condition. The symptoms of Anxiety Disorder like restlessness, loss of sleep, loss of hunger, over-impulsive nature, losing temper easily, etc. are some of the symptoms which can detect the mental disease of anxiety disorder. After you come to know for sure from your physician that you are really suffering from anxiety then the next important step is to visit a mental health care professional.

Apart from the general physician there are people like psychologists, counselors, and at times even the psychiatrists. These professionals implement various methods and techniques to treat a person suffering from anxiety disorder. There are methods like hypnotism, verbal counseling, and finally medication if the situation worsens immensely then there is no way apart from medicines like Xanax. At first the effort of every physician or counselor is to treat you without putting on medication. They try various other alternative therapies to make you free from anxiety. Sometimes there are social workers and psychologists who work in close connection with the psychiatrists.

Sometimes a group therapy or group counseling is equally effective for some patients to get rid of their anxiety. When you are deciding to settle upon the idea of visiting a mental health care professional then you should also try to find out that what kind of therapy is that doctor using and whether he relies on medicines as well or not. In case you are already taking some medication to treat your condition then it is strictly advisable not to increase your dosages on your own. You should always consult your doctor before tampering in any way with the dosages you are taking. Its only your doctor who can give you the right dose required. Once you are satisfied with the possible treatment applied by the physician you should give in completely to that physicians way of treatment. You must though have faith on your physician completely on whatever method he applies. Sometimes it can be cognitive therapy and sometimes it can be behavioral therapy or may be a combination of both the methods that your physician may apply to treat you. Treatments for anxiety disorders, however, may not start working instantly. Your doctor or therapist may ask you to follow a specific treatment plan for several weeks to determine whether it's working or not.
