Separation Anxiety in dogs: What exactly is it?

There was the usually mild-mannered Pit-bull puppy named Savannah who chewed through the bottom of a door and part of the hardwood floor just underneath it. There was Jasper the Corgi who was kept in a pen on a deck and managed to push it to the edge, chew through a pair of wooden bars, and leap to freedom. And there was my own first pup, an adopted Labrador-Rottweiler cross named Lea, who chewed 40 pages right from the book I was reading after I had left for work one morning.

These are of course a few of the most extreme and most memorable cases of separation anxiety that I've addressed over the years. Separation anxiety is not simply a dog making trouble in the house when you are not in it. It is a condition that puts the dog in a heavy state of panic when you depart, and can manifest itself in various ways: destructive behavior, toilet accidents inside, or excessive barking, howling and whining.

It can also manifest itself in severe depression (inactivity), and incessant panting, shaking, and drooling when the owner is away. Upon return, hyperactivity, and an excessive and uncontrollable greeting are also strong indications. While medications are sometimes an option, it is almost always remedied through training, and some quality time.

The source of this condition is no real puzzle. If you consider that puppies are typically taken from their mother when they are several weeks old, and brought into a home in which their master may go off to work for much of the day, anxiety should come as no surprise. For adopted or pet store dogs, the situation can be much worse. These dogs have been through a succession of care-takers in a very short time, and don't trust anyone to stick around. Who can blame them?

Do I Have An Anxiety Problem?

Do You Suffer From Fearful Thoughts?? IF YES THEN CLICK HERE

>>  Cure Your Anxiety and Panic Attack INSTANTLY -- Click Here <<

Everyone experiences anxiety from time to time. It is a normal part of our life and is probably experienced by 100% of the population at some time or another. Life is like that, there are always events which will produce anxiety or anxiousness in normal people.

The death of a loved one, a life stressor like divorce, family problems and so on. There are a myriad of situations where anxiety is a perfectly normal human reaction.

However there are also situations where we would not expect the average person to experience anxiety. Or there are situations where the average person would experience some anxiety, but not to a marked or continuing degree. However there are still people who do experience anxiety in these situations. They could experience anxiety that is far more extreme than would be expected in the average person, or for a much longer duration than would be expected, or both.

Where this is the case the existence of this anxiety, particularly on an ongoing basis, can produce effects for the individual, both psychological and physical.

Physical symptoms, for example, could include shortness of breath, headaches or even migraines, heart palpitations, hyperventilation and much more.

Psychological effects could include inability to concentrate, loss of sleep, irritability and the loss of a sense of personal security.

In these circumstances it is important to take a number of steps to relieve this. The obvious and first one is to consult a medical professional. However there are others that are also useful to try.

There are different ways that we can learn to use to cope with severe anxiety. These, if learned and practiced properly, can reduce some of the effects that anxiety can produce.

Many of them are simple ways to promote proper relaxation and reduce stress. There are many of these and a sufferer can choose amongst them to find one which fits in with their own situation, life views, time commitments and so on.

For example Yoga is a very good activity that has been shown to produce higher levels of relaxation and the ability to reduce stress in ones life, both of which are useful for the sufferer of anxiety or panic attacks.

Meditation, which is sometimes, but not always, a part of Yoga, is also useful. Meditation, if practiced regularly, can also produce a deep sense of relaxation and wellbeing. It allows the individual to focus their attention on tasks or events unrelated to the events which may be the focus of their anxiety, and this is useful.

Exercise is always useful, both in general and also for sufferers of anxiety disorders. Visualisation exercises are also useful.

Counselling can help, either on it?s own or in conjunction with some of these activities. And at the same time the counselor may well have their own suggestions for some other activities that may suit the individual well and be beneficial for alleviating the problem.

So if you think you are suffering from more anxiety in your life than you should there is much you can do. Don?t ignore the problem, anxiety can become more severe is left alone. Take some steps to confront the problem, there are usually solutions.

Anxiety Hope With Bling Therapy From Ms. BB

Do You Suffer From Fearful Thoughts?? IF YES THEN CLICK HERE

>>  Cure Your Anxiety and Panic Attack INSTANTLY -- Click Here <<

Daahling, is anxiety something you have resigned yourself to live with? Do you feel you simply cannot cope with all of the hustle and bustle in your life? Perhaps you feel anxious about issues involving money, or issues at school, work, or even at home.

There are numerous events that one encounters each day to which their emotions must react ~ either positively, or negatively. Unfortunately, we are sometimes not entirely in control and we feel helpless as they go the opposite of what we would surely have chosen if we were thinking more clearly. All too often, anxiety can render one with a feeling of helplessness or even hopelessness.

Naturally, if you are a victim of anxiety attacks, you must treat them as you would any other health problem and consult a licensed health practitioner in the field which closely matches your own beliefs and desires. One field of which you may not be totally aware is that of energy medicine. Practices such as acupuncture, Reiki, and homeopathy are a few of the ones most associated with energy medicine. Although recently Ms. BB has been hearing more and more about a remarkable energy healing option known as gemstone therapy. Since Ms. BB loves all things Bling ~ she simply had to explore it further.

Michael Katz, a student of gemstones since 1988, and today the author of numerous books and tapes on their healing qualities, explains about gemstones and their healing qualities. He states "Physicists tell us that all matter is energy in physical form. Gemstones are certainly no exception. Formed over eons, often at high pressure, the Earth's gemstones embody intense concentrations of energy. The energetic and physical properties of gemstones are already employed in many aspects of technology. The ability of crystals to conduct and transform energy is no longer a foreign idea to us. For example, every television, quartz clock, portable phone, and personal computer runs smoothly thanks to Quartz crystals. Today the energetic properties of gems are also being used to improve people's health at a fundamental level."

That is very interesting, but Ms. BB wanted to know how beautiful bling can help us heal. Can she (and others) simply wear a colorful bling necklace and feel better? Can this really be true, Daahling?

Mr. Katz assures us it is true as he continues to explain, "Proper selection, shaping, and use of gemstones transform them into therapeutic power tools. The potent healing energy of therapeutic gems can deeply heal and nourish every aspect of the human form. Fortunately, enjoying the health benefits of gemstone spheres is exceptionally easy and straightforward. Based on this new information, over 100 therapy protocols using gem spheres have been developed.

However, powerful benefits can be obtained simply by wearing therapeutic gems around the neck. Wearing a therapeutic gemstone necklace allows the gems' healing energy to penetrate the deepest levels of the wearer's physical and energetic dimensions. There, the gems' energy goes to work dissolving energetic blockages and producing beneficial changes in body, mind, and emotions."

Doctors and patients are experiencing that energy medicine works - often where conventional medicine does not. Chronic debilitating illnesses, common ailments, aches, pains, and everything in between have responded to energy medicine practices. Energy medicine is shedding light on the true nature of health and disease and offering solutions to seemingly intractable health problems - often leaving those who practice it healthier and more vital than they thought possible."

Mr. Katz suggests the following gemstones for treating anxiety:

Carnelian ~ Carnelian nourishes and vitalizes your entire being, bestowing optimism and enthusiasm for life. The orange ray carried by Carnelian deeply relaxes your mind, emotions, and physical cells so they can release their disharmony and disease. Carnelian enhances mental clarity and positive emotions, promoting a brighter outlook and an appreciation for your life lessons. By teaching you to balance your higher and lower energies, Carnelian helps bring your aspirations and current life path closer and closer together.

Mother of Pearl ~ Mother of Pearl stirs and awakens the primordial memory of your origin in the infinite ocean of divine love. It stirs this memory in your thoughts, your feelings, and in every cell of your physical body. As your memory opens, this divine love flows into you, repairing the deep wounds created by unfulfilled needs. Mother of Pearl's energy sings the song of motherly love as it imparts the feeling of being cradled in a loving mother's arms.

Onyx ~ Onyx stabilizes, heals, and strengthens your root chakra so you may become more grounded and productive in the physical world. Onyx absorbs all seven color rays, then brings them into your body through the root chakra. As Onyx's energy rises to your brow, it releases whichever color rays are needed to each chakra. This energetic support helps your chakras become more adaptable, enabling you to perform multiple tasks with greater ease and thus to manifest your creative vision in the world.

Rhodonite ~ Rhodonite stabilizes your emotions. It soothes and brings order to any feelings that are scattered, imbalanced, or ungrounded. Through its steady upliftment, Rhodonite gradually transforms your emotional foundation, making it more solid and secure. At the same time, it uplifts your physical body by slowly and gently raising its vibratory rate. Rhodonite broadens your perspective and deepens your understanding of your emotions, helping you become more balanced, mature, and strong.

Social anxiety

Many times people tend to get extremely shy, fearful or overtly self conscious, while interacting in a variety of social situations. These symptoms are so common in their daily life, which they tend to develop severe inferiority complex as a result of many anxious situations. The scenarios are so obvious: people facing interviews, a boy proposing his fist date to his girl friend, appearing on a stage for the first time. And the symptoms are so common: butterflies in the stomach, sweating face and palm, shaking hands! Welcome to the mysterious world of "Social Anxiety"! It is estimated that as high 100 million people all over the world face the ordeals of social anxiety, and it may increase further with the impending population explosion. Unlike other psychological problems, the curious aspect of social anxiety is not understood properly by people or even the medical professionals. As a result, social anxiety is always misdiagnosed to be any other critical psychological problem.

Clinically speaking, social anxiety is simply explained as a psychological condition, when a person develops or experience self conscious feelings, that others are critically judging or evaluating them all the time. Though most of these feelings are generated at the spur of the moment, people experiencing social anxiety keep assessing the situation, even after those episodes of social anxiety. It also means that the person who is facing this problem, turns cloistered or withdrawn during the course of time; most of the time a socially withdrawn person often becomes depressed and emotionally troubled.

People suffering from social anxiety also feel the intense pain of self inflicted wound, which subsequently forces them to avoid likely future social situations altogether. Unfortunately, the curious problem of social anxiety tends to remain with the person for the rest of their life, unlike many other treatable social problems. Social anxiety symptoms apply to most social events and functions in almost every area of life. Even though it is difficult to comprehend the effects of social anxiety in day to day life, these anxious feelings are usually tied to extremely bad thoughts, which are woven in a vicious web of negative inferences and appraisals.

Curing a person with social anxiety is often difficult in spite of several healing methods. However, cognitive-behavioral therapy is the only known option that has been shown to work with more effectiveness and this therapy is also known to provide a long lasting relief. Whatever the method you choose, the basic parameter of the therapy is very simple and straightforward, that involves several rounds of wise counseling and intense motivation. Many of us have at one moment in life, faced severe forms of social anxiety and crippling fear, while interacting socially with other people. With sheer determination and persistence, we have escaped the evil clutches of social anxiety to lead a happy and normal life.

Medication for Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Alternative Anxiety Disorder Treatments

Do You Suffer From Fearful Thoughts?? IF YES THEN CLICK HERE

>>  Cure Your Anxiety and Panic Attack INSTANTLY -- Click Here <<

by Tess Thompson

Generalized Anxiety Disorder is the most difficult of the anxiety disorders to diagnose because it lacks many of the more dramatic symptoms of other disorders. People with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) are not always prone to panic attacks, for example, and do not necessarily fear social situations. GAD usually includes subtler symptoms, such as excessive worry about things like work, family, health or money, and can be accompanied by physical symptoms that include muscle twitching, headaches, sweating, or gastrointestinal trouble. The National Institute of Health classifies a specific symptom of GAD as being excessive worry or anxiety occurring more days than not for at least a six month period. Many who experience this can begin to feel frustrated and helpless, but there are a variety of successful treatments and therapy that can help restore patients to a normal life.

Individual therapy is generally recommended for people with GAD, as many do not feel comfortable discussing their symptoms in a group environment. Therapy sessions should focus on identifying stress factors, practicing relaxation techniques and breathing exercises, and helping the individual find a balance between work, family, personal time and other obligations.

Doctors occasionally prescribe medication as one of the treatments for anxiety if the individual's symptoms are so intense that they interfere with psychotherapy and relaxation exercises. Benzodiazepines such as diazepam (also known as Valium) and lorazepam (Xanax) are the most commonly prescribed medications for this type of disorder, but it should be noted that there is not much clinical research that has shown these types of medications to be more effective than others. Benzodiazepines can produce sedative side effects that affect performance and daily functioning, and medication for Generalized Anxiety Disorder should only be taken if absolutely necessary and always under professional supervision.

It can often also be beneficial to explore alternative anxiety disorder treatments like herbal medications. The herb Passiflora Incarnata (Passion Flower) is regularly used to provide anxiety relief, and as a treatment for isomnia, hyperactivity and nervous tension. Lemon Balm is an overall nervous system restorative that can also successfuly calm symptoms, as well as Lavender - the most popular and widely used natural ingredient for treatment of anxiety and an active ingredient in panic attack treatments as well.

Successful treatment of Generalized Anxiety Disorder is attainable and should generally include a much more intense focus on therapy than on prescription medication. Many who suffer from the disorder are able to overcome the symptoms purely through focusing their energy on learning how to identify stressors in their lives and regularly practicing methods for coping with them. Each person's life is different, and so are each person's symptoms, but individualized treatment can go a long way toward alleviating anxiety and restoring a healthy life.

Anxiety - What Has Anxiety And MAGGOTS Got In Common

Do You Suffer From Fearful Thoughts?? IF YES THEN CLICK HERE

>>  Cure Your Anxiety and Panic Attack INSTANTLY -- Click Here <<

Anxiety is a disorder that can disturb a persons mind to an extent where they lose control over their actions e.g. thinking and decision making. This sense of instability makes it hard for a patient to carry on leading a normal life. When anxiety takes hold it forces the patient into believing that they no longer have any say on matters of importance like decision making etc. All this can have a devastating effect on the sufferer as well as all concerned parties around them.

With the help of modern science we have modern medicine and treatments and if supervised by a governing body of the medical profession along with your modern way of thinking and that is to believe in yourself and recognise your illness then the help out there will certainly give you hope in having a brighter future.

It is no wonder why anxiety is diagnosed as a mental health disorder when it can cause so much havoc in the upper region. Some patients lost hope where they believed their anxiety was beyond repair. Unfortunately they became a victim of their own thoughts that was to give them the only solution to their problem and that was to commit suicide. We all know the feeling of anxiety where the fear factor sets in and we imagine that something awful or nasty is about to happen. If faced with difficult times e.g. like an upheaval in life, divorce or losing someone close are all situations that can be identified to the cause of anxious moments. There are different types of anxiety; therefore the importance of speaking with a doctor is imminent so the right course of medicine or treatment can be prescribed. Mild bouts of anxiety are common and present in a great many of our lives, but for the more severe cases anxiety bouts now become attacks which is a major worry.

Doctors dedicated in this field will diagnose an anxiety disorder if the patients tension level scales to high and stays with the sufferer for several months. If the patient can not pin point a reason behind his anxiety then it is right to stick with the prognosis of it actually being anxiety. The reason being is, depression stands in the way of diagnoses due to similarities of symptoms for both disorders. What the doctor has to decipher is whether the patient has depression with anxiety symptoms or vice or versa as in i.e. is anxiety the cause of their depression.

The effect anxiety has on each individual differs in many ways; some people are prone to the psychological/emotional side of things. When other people are tortured by the effects physically

The Psychological downside to anxiety comes in the form of inability to concentrate along with irritability. A patient experiences constant worry which can lead to sense of fearful anticipation. Lack of sleep is a strong symptom causing fatigue to take the whole body. The Physical effects can be pains where the patient feels tightness in the chest. Breathing is affected. Loss of appetite, sex drive goes down hill and visits to the loo are more frequent (Urinating) sickness dizziness headaches and muscle tension are just a few to mention of the symptoms.

Anxiety if permitted will devour any thoughts you have on leading a normal life if you leave it to fester and rot inside like maggots eating away at a corpse. This can be all prevented if you seek advice early on any concerns you may have relating to your health or that of someone close.

Did You Treat Your Anxiety Today?

Do You Suffer From Fearful Thoughts?? IF YES THEN CLICK HERE

>>  Cure Your Anxiety and Panic Attack INSTANTLY -- Click Here <<

Anxiety disorders are the most common mental health problem, and include panic disorders, agoraphobia, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Anxiety disorders develop due to an interplay between enviromnental and genetic factors. Cognitive behavior therapy is useful for this disorder, as well as prescription anxiolytic drugs.

However, many patients prefer a natural approach or dislike the side effects of prescription drugs, and there are many non-prescription supplements available to help anxiety. Before starting natural supplements for an anxiety problem, be sure to mention your concerns and get a general checkup from your doctor. Symptoms resembling anxiety and anxiety attacks can be caused by physical diseases such as hormone imbalance, hyperthyroidism or cardiac arrhythmias.

However, if you are sure your problem is an anxiety disorder, the following supplements may be of help, and often have fewer side effects than commercial pharmaceutical products.

Chamomile tea is one of the best-known natural remedies for anxiety. Its affects the digestive tract and the nervous system, thus it is helpful for people who suffer from gastro-intestinal symptoms such as cramps along with mental anxiety. It is recommended that patients drink fresh tea made with chamomile leaves, 1/2 to 1 teaspoon per cup of water, several times a day. It is also available in tinctures which can be added to water. Chamomile capsules are convenient to take along to work, and don't take as long to brew as the tea. The usual dose is 250 to 500 mg 3 to 4 times daily.

Damiana (Turnera diffusa) is a nerve tonic which also has a restorative (adaptogenic) property. It has a calming effect in cases of mild depression and anxiety, and is also reputed to be an aphrodisiac. Damiana contains flavonoids that act on benzodiazepine and GABA receptors. It exhibits anxiolytic activity, muscle relaxation and sedation. Use 2-4 g of dried leaves infused in a cup of boiling water; 2-3 cups are taken daily. Alternatively, 2-4 ml of a liquid extract or 3-4 grams of powdered leaf in tablets or capsules taken twice daily can be substituted if desired.

Damiana has demonstrated mild hypoglycemic effects in animal studies. Patients with diabetes and hypoglycemia should use this plant with caution, and monitor blood sugar levels closely. Damiana has a traditional use as an abortive and is contraindicated during pregnancy.

Kava Kava (Piper methysticum) has a very quick calming effect on the nervous system and causes an uplifting, euphoric feeling. It is also a muscle relaxant and mild sedative. It is helps anxiety, tension, stress, irritability and insomnia. Kava stops the mind from racing, often a symptom of generalized anxiety disorder. The usual dose is 750 mg twice daily. Do not exceed 4 capsules per day.

Kava Kava is a traditional Polynesian remedy, and while it has been used safely by Polynesians for centuries, now that it has become popular worldwide it has been linked to some cases of liver failure in people of other ethnic groups who have difficulty metabolizing it. Ask a health care professional before use if you have a history of liver problems, frequently use alcoholic beverages, or are taking any medication. Stop and see a doctor if you develop symptoms that may signal liver problems (e.g., unexplained fatigue, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, fever, vomiting, dark urine, pale stools, yellow eyes or skin).

Do not use kava kava if less than 18 years of age, or if pregnant/breastfeeding. Do not combine with alcoholic beverages, or prescription anxiolytics or antidepressants . Excessive use, or use with products that cause drowsiness, may impair your ability to operate a vehicle or heavy equipment. Do not take Kava Kava on a daily basis for more than four weeks without consulting a health care provider. Take frequent breaks from use.

Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata) is most often used for insomnia, but it can also be taken in the daytime to reduce the effects of stress and anxiety. This herb is often included in European formulas for heart palpitations, which often have anxiety as a component. It is taken in capsule form, 500 mg daily, or 20-30 drops of tincture, or as a fresh tea. Passionflower, though it helps bring on natural sleep, does not have the sedative effects of many prescription sleeping pills.

Pulsatilla is a homeopathic remedy said to be most suitable for shy, hypersensitive people who tend to feel warm rather than cold. Homeopathic practitioners recommend a 30C potency 2-4 times daily for relief of acute symptoms, and 30C or 6C 1-2 times daily for chronic use. Homeopathic remedies use miniscule concentrations of compounds to "nudge" the body into healing itself. They either help or they do not; there are no toxic side effects.

Scullcup (Scutellaria lateriflora) is a relaxing and gentle sedative for the central nervous system. It is very good for nervous tension and for nervous exhaustion plus neurological and neuromotor problems. The dose is 10-20 drops of fresh plant tincture or 1-2 dropperfuls of dried plant tincture. Skullcap can also be sleep inducing, but it is rarely habituating.

St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) is commonly used for depression, but helps anxiety as well. Use a 300 mg extract 3 times daily. Quality varies widely between brands; it is best to buy a product standardized to contain 3-5% hyperforin and 0.3% hypericin. It works by increasing the level of neurotransmitters in the central nervous system such as serotonin and dopamine. Do not use this product if also taking prescription antidepressants.

Valerian (Valeriana officinalis) has been used since Greek and Roman times to promote sleep and relaxation. It can treat insomnia, anxiety, and stress related gastrointestinal upset. According to one theory, valerian affects the brain in a way similar to valium; while another theory holds that valerian contains GABA, a neurotransmitter which has a calming affect on the brain, or else influences the brain's natural production of GABA. Also, some reasearchers believe that valerian affects serotonin levels in a manner similar to anitdepressant drugs such as Prozac.

If using valerian to treat insomnia, take the herb 30 to 60 minutes before going to bed. It can be taken 2-4 times daily to help stress and anxiety. The recommended dose of tincture is 30-60 drops, or a capsule or tablet of 300-500 mg.

Some people feel groggy after taking valerian; if this occurs, lower the dose. Avoid hazardous activities while using valerian, and do not combine it with other sedatives, antidepressants or alcohol. Do not take valerian for more than 3 weeks, as it can be habituating.

Verbena (Verbena officinalis) is a relaxing nervous system tonic indicated for a wide range of nervous disorders including nervous exhaustion and stress. As a tincture, use 2-4 mls up to 4 times daily. Avoid use during pregnancy as this herb is a uterine stimulant.

Withania (Withania somnifera) is an ayurvedic herb sold under the name Ashwaghanda. It is a very good tonic herb that is especially helpful for debility and nervous exhaustion due to stress. It has steriodal, adaptogenic, sedative and anti-inflammatory properties. It is also useful for panic attacks and phobic disorders such as agoraphobia. Use 1 tsp powder 3 times daily.

Anxiety Disorder Treatments: The Best Herbal Remedies for Anxiety

Do You Suffer From Fearful Thoughts?? IF YES THEN CLICK HERE

>>  Cure Your Anxiety and Panic Attack INSTANTLY -- Click Here <<

by Tess Thompson

Anxiety disorders are the most common of all mental health disorders and affect the lives of millions of people every year, including approximately 19 million in the U.S. alone. If you are one of them, you may wonder if your symptoms are standard, and if there are behavioral and medical treatments that might be effective for you. While everyone experiences anxiety in some form -- perhaps before giving a public presentation or in the midst of major life changes -- those with anxiety disorders experience it unusally often and irrationally.

There are many different types of anxiety disorders, each of which have unique features, but all of them share the symptoms of dread and excessive fear. Five common types are panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, social anxiety disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. As with most disorders, each individual will experience symptoms slightly differently, and response to treatment will vary as well. While there are prescription medications for anxiety, for those who are wary of the side effects there also exist natural treatments for anxiety which contain herbal ingredients that can produce equally positive effects.

Passion flower (or Passiflora Incarnata) is a natural ingredient that is often used for anxiety relief, as well as to treat hyperactivity, insomnia, nervous tension and even Parkinson's Disease. Passion flower helps to calm and soothe and is believed to be able to reduce nervous tremors and lower high blood pressure.

Lavendar (or Lavandula Augustifolia) is one of the most popular natural ingredients for treatment of a variety of conditions, including anxiety disorder. Lavendar is a general tonic for the nervous system and is well-known for it's calming properties, making it among the most effective of natural panic attack treatments. The active ingredients in lavendar are tannins, flavinoids, coumarins, triterponoids and volatile oil.

Lemon Balm (or Melissa Officinalis) is a natural ingredient that is used as a resorative for the nervous system and also calms the digestive system and reduces blood pressure. Lemon Balm has also been used to treat Grave's disease (hyperthyroidism), and to treat depression and insomnia.

There are no quick fixes for anxiety disorder and anxiety disorder treatments should usually focus heavily on behavioral therapy. No matter how many times you might hear that you "worry too much" or that you should relax, your symptoms are not character flaws but indications of a serious disorder that is not your fault. Anxiety disorder is caused by biological, physiological and genetic factors, and may make your life seem stressful and difficult. There are many others like you who have found effective treatment through therapy, medication, herbal remedies for anxiety or some combination of the aforementioned, and you too have the ability to overcome your disorder to lead a happier, healthier life.

The Best Forms Of Diagnosis Through An Anxiety Disorder Test

Do You Suffer From Fearful Thoughts?? IF YES THEN CLICK HERE

>>  Cure Your Anxiety and Panic Attack INSTANTLY -- Click Here <<

Treating Anxiety Disorder is something that takes time and effort. Many people, who are usually trying to help, make the common mistake of forcing people to do things that a sufferer feels particularly anxious about. Without preparation or guidance this can make the situation worse rather than better. The hardest part of alleviating Anxiety Disorder is the fact that many people who suffer see problems where other's don't. Severe cases can mean that a person even struggles going into a shop to buy a paper. They will be worrying that people are talking about them or laughing at them and even if everything goes perfectly well they may still be convinced of the worst. 'Convincing' them that this isn't the case will be the hardest part of any cure for Anxiety Disorder.

The key to diagnosing Anxiety Disorder through testing is ascertaining the level and frequency of a person's anxiety. Every person suffers from anxiety in certain situations and can actually help us perform better or react better but a person who suffers from Anxiety Disorder is always anxious and can be debilitating. It should be determined whether a person suffers when they are about to do certain things or whether they suffer on a much more general scale.

Because of the nature of an Anxiety Disorder the patient must be aware that they will not be judged on their answers to a test. They must be put at ease and be entirely comfortable with taking the test and having someone read the answers. It is ill advised that a doctor perform this test on a patient they do not know.

According to the formal diagnosis for a General Anxiety Disorder a patient must have suffered from anxiety due to everyday problems for a minimum of six months. This can be shorter if the anxiety is particularly dangerous or concentrated around certain events. Proper testing for an Anxiety Disorder will, therefore, need several test over a fairly long period of time.

Because there are a number of different areas that ascertain whether a patient does indeed suffer from Anxiety Disorder it can be difficult to give them the appropriate test. Putting them in a situation that would cause anxiety is unlikely to yield results because people who suffer from an Anxiety Disorder may have spent their entire lives finding a way to mask their worries and concerns. John Mancini has been writing about Anxiety Disorder online and offline for a long time. Understanding Anxiety Disorders

Do You Suffer From Fearful Thoughts?? IF YES THEN CLICK HERE

>>  Cure Your Anxiety and Panic Attack INSTANTLY -- Click Here <<

Depression is a psychological, biological and environmental problem that has affected millions of people, both directly and indirectly. People suffering with depression often have difficulty functioning normally, and frequently experience problems in their everyday lives as a result. The emotional toll of depression can shatter families; result in a loss of employment and in some occasions end in suicide. While there is no cure for depression, treatment options are available that can help sufferers of depression lead normal, happy lives. Depression changes the way in which a person is able to think, feel and view the world around them. These changes produce adverse effects on behavior directed towards others and towards one's self. If a person experiences feelings of sadness or malaise which continue over a long period of time, it is likely that he or she suffers from some form of depression. Recognizing the symptoms of depression is the first step toward recovery. Those who feel they may have depression should consult their physician.

Once a diagnosis has been made and a treatment program initiated, the next step is to recognize the effect that depression has on the mental processes that govern one's behavior. Understanding the mechanisms of depression can help people who are coping with this often debilitating illness. Of the treatment options available today, all involve either talk therapy, medication or a combination of both. It may take several weeks or even months before a treatment plan can produce any obvious positive results. During this time, having an understanding of the nature of this illness can be highly beneficial. Realizing that depression is a treatable affliction can promote rational thinking and a diminished emotional response toward the symptomology of this unfortunate condition.

There are several resources available on the Internet which can help sufferers recognize the symptoms of depression and give advice on how to cope with it once a treatment plan has been established. Through treatment, understanding and the support of others, living with depression can be made substantially less difficult. Many who have suffered from depression go on to lead healthy, productive lives.

Separation Anxiety Disorder

Between the ages of 8 months and 2 years, it's normal for a child to cry when its mother leaves the room or a stranger enters it. Neither overprotection nor constant punishment will change the situation. It's a natural stage that usually passes on its own. If, however, an older child continues to react to potential separations with unreasonable fear, professional help may be needed. If the problem isn't resolved, it can damage the child's self image, leading to teenage and adult emotional problems.

Causes

Separation anxiety disorder may run in families. It is most likely to affect shy, nervous children. The disorder is often triggered by a major change in the child's life, such as a death or hospitalization, the parents' separation or divorce, a new school, or a move.

Signs/Symptoms

Children with this disorder express their anxiety in a variety of ways:

Screaming or temper tantrums when left with others
Insistence on sleeping with parents in their room
Difficulty going to sleep
Fear of the dark
Nightmares
Fear of sleeping away from home
Difficulty settling down
Fear of meeting new people
Clinging to parents at home
Following parents from room to room
Worrying about the family's safety in the home
Fear of going to school
Headaches, bellyaches, or body aches when a separation approaches
Sadness
Quietness
Lack of concentration

Care

This disorder poses the threat of a vicious circle in which the child's dependence and the parents' protectiveness reinforce and amplify each other. For that reason, both the parents and the child may need to see a counselor. If the youngster refuses to go to school, an immediate priority is to arrange a return as quickly as possible.

Risks

If this problem isn't successfully resolved, it can lead to greater emotional problems, such as depression, as the child grows older.
WHAT YOU SHOULD DO

Try to prepare the child for a change such as a divorce or a move. Talk openly about such changes and encourage him to voice his worries. Give reassurance that everyone will be safe.

Discuss the problem with the child's teachers. They may be able to give you tips for dealing with this disorder both at home and at school.

Praise and reward the child for overcoming his fears.

Call Your Doctor If...

The child can't sleep.

You fear you will lose patience with the child.

SYMPTOMS

Developmentally inappropriate and excessive anxiety concerning separation from home or from those to whom the individual is attached, as evidenced by three (or more) of the following:

recurrent excessive distress when separation from home or major attachment figures occurs or is anticipated

persistent and excessive worry about losing, or about possible harm befalling, major attachment figures

persistent and excessive worry that an untoward event will lead to separation from a major attachment figure (e.g., getting lost or being kidnapped)

persistent reluctance or refusal to go to school or elsewhere because of fear of separation

persistently and excessively fearful or reluctant to be alone or without major attachment figures at home or without significant adults in other settings

persistent reluctance or refusal to go to sleep without being near a near a major attachment figure or to sleep away from home

repeated nightmares involving the theme of separation

repeated complaints of physical symptoms (such as headaches, stomachaches, nausea, or vomiting) when separation from major attachment figures occurs or is anticipated

The duration of the disturbance is at least 4 weeks.

The onset is before age 18 years.

The disturbance causes clinically significant distress or impairment in social, academic (occupational), or other important areas of functioning.

The disturbance does not occur exclusively during the course of a Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Schizophrenia, or other Psychotic Disorder and, in adolescents and adults, is not better accounted for by Panic Disorder With Agoraphobia. E-mail Anxiety! What May Come With Your New Business Opportunity!

Do You Suffer From Fearful Thoughts?? IF YES THEN CLICK HERE

>>  Cure Your Anxiety and Panic Attack INSTANTLY -- Click Here <<

Too many people are now suffering from e-mail anxiety due to what they think to be great products or mlm programs that they have found on the internet. Here you may find some steps to avoid developing this disorder.

Are you suffering from e-mail anxiety? If you are not sure then ask yourself a few questions.

1. Have you recently encountered what you think to be a really great business opportunity or product that you would love to resell online?
2. Have you created a web page and began e-mail advertising on your new product or program?
3. Have you bought and paid for quality leads?
4. Have you signed up for more than just one program?
5. Are you spending more than 12 hours a day at your computer?

If you answered yes to at least 2 of these questions then you may be suffering from e-mail anxiety.

We have found a program/product or programs/products that we truly believe in. Then the hard part comes and we have to find a way to get our program/product in front of our customers. We learn that we have to advertise. Not having much money may limit our advertising so we begin with all of the free advertising sites or programs that we can find. We begin with the traffic exchange systems. We click and click and click away until our poor little fingers are cramping. We sit back and watch our mailbox as we anxiously wait for e-mails to come pouring in our inbox with signups to our program or sales for our product. We get lots of traffic to our site and a few free signups as members to add to our mailing list, but no sales. So we figure that we are going to have to devise a new strategy because we must be doing something wrong. Now we sign up for an ezine directory giving us an average of 50 people to mail to every day. We sit back and watch our mailbox as we anxiously wait for e-mails to come pouring in our inbox with signups to our program or sales for our product. We have worse luck with this approach because we get no visitors to our site and only a couple of free signups per month. So its back to the drawing board. Lets try a safe list. Putting our e-mail advertisement in front of 700 people at once should bring in at least a good couple of paying members or a couple of sales right? WRONG. Now we have an e-mail box full of noloop e-mails that we are just deleting at once because there are so many to read! If we are doing this then so are the rest, so therefore our e-mails are not getting read. Ok so maybe the free advertising route isnt the way to go to get the quick response that we are looking for. Hmmm here it says that we can send our promotion to over 50,000 people for as little as $15.00. Sounds like a good deal, so lets try that. Now we learn what FFA pages are. Geez! Our e-mail inbox is flooded again with different types of e-mails that appear to be coming from some type of FFA pages. These are harder to determine which ones can be deleted since they came from many different types of e-mail addresses. So we have to handpick through these to make sure we are not deleting something important. And dont you get so frustrated and angry when you find those that trick you into opening there e-mails with the tricky subject lines like, Your payment has been processed and then when you open the e-mail its just another marketer trying to sell you something? I mean give me a break! Who wants to do business with a sneaky little twerp that hides the truth from you? Ok so we chalk our $15.00 up on a loss. We are NOT I repeat NOT giving up on this! There HAS to be a way to get our product in front of the people that count. I know that others are doing it and so can I. I guess I am going to have to break down and pay for something. Here is an ad for a Bulk opt in mailing list of 300,000 spam free people for $70.00. They say that you pay for what you get, so lets see if that old scenario holds any truth to it. We are anxiously waiting for the e-mails to start pouring in. I myself am personally afflicted with e-mail anxiety and can not wait to find a cure! Stay tuned for future updates on e-mail anxiety.

Anxiety: A Very Real Threat to a Happy Life

Do You Suffer From Fearful Thoughts?? IF YES THEN CLICK HERE

>>  Cure Your Anxiety and Panic Attack INSTANTLY -- Click Here <<

Anxiety is the most frequently occurring mental health disorder in the United States, according to the US Surgeon General. There are millions of people who are diagnosed with it every year. A small amount of anxiety helps to get us going, but when it becomes more severe, it can be overwhelming. If you start feeling like it's more than it should be, you may want to visit a doctor for a clinical diagnosis. The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) has estimated that 19 million Americans aged 18 to 54 suffer from anxiety disorder every year.

Fear is generally the basis for anxiety disorders. All of us have felt its tingle before we do something that makes us nervous, such as making a public speech or going out on a first date. When that feeling becomes more constant and starts to invade our daily lives, then it has become a disorder and it's time to get some help.

One of the most familiar and studied forms of anxiety disorder is the panic attack. The patient usually feels his or her heart race and also pain or pressure in the chest. Generalized anxiety disorder is another of the more commonly diagnosed forms. It manifests as constant worry that is beyond normal bounds. Other symptoms include a lengthy event lasting six months or longer, muscle tension, difficulty staying focused on a subject, trouble sleeping, and feeling continuously irritated. Panic attacks don't usually result from general anxiety disorder, but it can still make life difficult. That type of worry is exhausting, takes away interest in one's life, and can cause mood swings. Some other anxiety disorders include social anxiety, obsessive compulsive behavior, various phobias, and post- traumatic stress syndrome.

Diagnosing these disorders is not easy as they incorporate brain functions and there is still a lot to be learned about them. No one in the medical profession has yet learned why a particular person's fear response is amplified so much more than another's. Researchers do know that five neurotransmitters become disturbed in these disorders and medications have been developed to treat them. They include anti-depressants and anti- anxiety drugs.

Thankfully there are a number of options for treating and even curing anxiety disorders. Western medicine relies on medications and psychotherapy. Some people see two practitioners: a psychologist to counsel with, and a psychiatrist for prescription medication. This combination of treatments can be quite effective. Tranquilizers from the class called "benzodiazepines" are often prescribed and often work quite well. Some of these brand names are Xanax, Valium, and Ativan and they help those suffering from panic and anxiety. Most of these aren't to be used for the long-term. Anti-depressants have proven more effective for those with acute anxiety disorders. The best ones seem to be the selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors (SSRI) s. Some of these are Celexa, Zoloft, Prozac, and Paxil.

There are a number of alternative medicines being practiced today and some people prefer not to take pharmaceuticals. If you are in this category it may take trial and error as well as time and patience to find relief. Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) is an approach that zeroes in on the thought processes that cause us to worry. Its goal is to help separate realistic thoughts from those that are overblown. Some other things to try are relaxation training, desensitization, breathing, meditating, acupuncture, homeopathy, and biofeedback. Massage therapy, chiropractics, and just walking can also be of help.

Phobias: Depression and Anxiety

Do You Suffer From Fearful Thoughts?? IF YES THEN CLICK HERE

>>  Cure Your Anxiety and Panic Attack INSTANTLY -- Click Here <<

Depression, Anxiety and other phobias are part of our psychological phenomenon in the medical science. Depression is caused due to chemical imbalance in the nervous system of a person. This is concerned with psychological conditioning of the patient. On the other note, Anxiety is caused due to the imbalance in the body of a person. Anxiety is concerned with the emotional behavior of the patient.

Though Depression and Anxiety are two disorder forms of the same category, they have different symptoms. Feeling of hopelessness, negativity, lack of concentration, feeling of guilt and decrease in energy are some of the common symptoms of Depression. While, tension of day to day work, dizziness, nausea, difficulty in breathing and light headedness are few common symptoms of Anxiety.

There are many forms of Depression and Anxiety. Panic Attacks, Social Disorders, Specific Phobias are the types of Anxieties. Psychological Predisposition and Environmental Stresses are the types of Depressions. All these symptoms can cause hazardous diseases in the long run. So, you should take extra care of yourself, if you are suffering from either of these troubles.

Depression and Anxiety can not be fully cured, but can be treated for sure with the help of proper medication and therapies. The medical practitioners hold few sessions to understand the mental conditioning of the patient and suggest appropriate medical aid.
Anti-Depressants, Anti-Anxiety medications and other types of medications are aimed at alleviating symptoms of Depression and Anxiety. When the treatment fails in the case of Depression, then Electroconvulsive Therapy has been proved to be successful in the treatment. Many of the Self-Help Support Groups help people in treating their problems by making them sit with others and hear the other experiences to get out of the situation.
Depression and Anxiety is more common in women than in men. If one man out of ten is suffering from these problems, its one woman out of four is facing Depression or Anxiety disorders. A patient can overcome these situations only with his strong will to recover.
